Just posted a bunch of pics....

Hi all, I just posted a bunch of pictures- I think each entry takes up a page though so keep clicking on "older posts" to see them all. In amsterdam, my camera died the first night and I forgot the charger but my friends took a lot of pictures the rest of the weekend so I'll be posting those here once they post them on facebook. Also, I didn't even bring my camera to Barcelona (woops) so the pics I've posted now are from one friends camera, and I'm waiting on another to post hers so I, again, can post them here! She should post them tomorrow- sorry I'm so bad with my camera!
Amsterdam was great though- VERY bizarre city to say the least haha. We went to the Heineken brewery as you can see and walked around the red light district on friday night. Saturday, we went to another area of the city where a bunch of clubs, bars are. We went to an ice bar first (a bar made entirely out of ice from the seats to the cups) and then went to a club afterwards. Great weekend and definitely good for just a weekend trip. We also had some GREAT meals- mexican, thai, and indian! Amsterdam is way better at the multicultural food than say, the Chinese places here in Bilbao. Although they are "chinese" they are still mainly catered to Spanish cuisine. However, the places we ate at in Amsterdam are often actually run by people of that ethnicity and therefore are way more authentic and just all around better than those here.
Our hostels were also a very interesting situation! The first night, as you can see, we stayed on a boat!! One room for me Belen and Victoria- two tiny bunk beds. ha! Me and Victoria shared the bottom bunk and belen got the top bunk. The second night we moved to another hostel called the Flying Pig on the other side of town. Me and Victoria got our own private room which was a nice change from the night before- a sink and 2 bunk beds. And belen roomed right next door in a shared room with 7 or 8 other people. Our friends who came with us John and Ryan had a hostel in the red light district. ha! Definitely glad we didnt stay there....although it was cheaper it was veryyy sketchy to say the least and ryan said the second night that a random drunk guy was passed out in his bed. When he went to tell reception they told him to just sleep in another bed...nice! I got a few souvenirs also (had to!) some shot glasses for friends and a pair of salt and pepper shakers for ma and pa to add to their collection!

Finally staying in Bilbao this coming weekend- it's good to be back! traveling for these weekend trips is FUN but pretty draining. Will write more/post more pics soon. Love/miss you all.
